The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to build hype for next month's bout.
Former two-time unified boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to damage his features and hurt his body. My goal is to show I'm superior," Joshua, 35, declared.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
In spite of those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally known for his dramatics - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Fighter
In spite of declaring he will punish Paul, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.
Financial Attraction
Still, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Paul said.
Physical Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how improbable this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is actually proceeding.
