In a surprising collaboration that challenges conventional expectations, the game developer has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Strange Mission Revealed
According to the official announcement, "A mysterious meeting leads protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of prohibited practices and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her companion from a secret cult.
The questline concentrates on "peculiar experiments and a fearsome adversary" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Familiar Settings and Transformations
The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a dramatic sequence showing a character, presumably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who finish the quest will acquire an special katana together with several objects hidden throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, offering:
